“I want brides to be able to look back and remember the emotion they were feeling in that moment.”
Yesterday I had the pleasure of sharing coffee with Erica. What a fun woman! I recognized that trait from the first time I met her last week at a networking event, but after spending some time with her, it was great to see that my impression was correct. What’s more important is that this comes out in her wedding photography.
Erica’s photography is about emotion, particularly emotion that is natural. She puts the couple at ease, encourages them to be comfortable and themselves and then captures it. What a gift to be able to know that the pictures you will have are not just capturing the actions of the day, but the emotions as well. Her hands-off approach allows the bride and groom to tell their story through pictures. Erica mentioned that her goal is to tell about the couple and who they are, just as much as she is portraying the wedding day itself. I’ve mentioned in this blog many times before how important I think it is to have vendors be someone you would love to be around all day – and that is exactly what you’ll get with Erica B Photography.
I’m excited to get to know more about this lovely lady and her exquisite work as we plan to collaborate soon on some featured blogs, design shoots (exciting!), and as I begin writing for her a “Tip of the Week,” primarily focusing on my personal training for brides (how do you get in shape before the wedding?!), and best tips for planning a wedding as a whole. Hopefully during this process I can also collaborate with Erica on our mutual love of good food and dessert! 🙂 Check back here or on Erica’s website for more to come!
