Last Wednesday night, I had the privilege of attending the reopening party for the General’s Residence, located at Fort Mason in San Francisco. Although this is a venue I’ve been to and worked at before, it was lovely to see the changes made during their recent renovation and “freshening up.” The event had some amazing caterers provide great hors d’oeuvres and desserts, speciality cocktails and general festivities. I had a great time – check out some pictures! (I am definitely not a photographer and my iPhone is not a real camera, so don’t judge the picture quality!) 🙂
The General’s Residence is a great option for weddings or really any event at all with its 2 spacious ballrooms, in addition to an elegant entryway and lounge area and another lounge/cocktail area overlooking the San Francisco Bay and Alcatraz. They do have a chapel on site for any indoor ceremonies, but their outdoor grassy space is ideal for an outdoor ceremony or cocktails. My favorite part was their downstairs “pub” space with wooden built in bar, exposed brick and low ceilings – what a great space to provide a more casual environment at your wedding or event!
