Destination weddings are always equally scary and exciting, but this one was particularly amazing. Lauren and Adam worked with me here in the Bay Area, then we all packed up and went to Las Vegas to celebrate their spectacular wedding over the weekend of May 18-20.
Although Lauren and Adam are somewhat Vegas officianados and thus have been to many of the various hotels along the strip, they chose Mandalay Bay as their venue, which I believe was a great fit! The ceremony was at Valley of the Falls, a haven of seclusion, quiet and romance along the Vegas Strip. Simplistic elegance was the vibe, and the team at Mandalay Bay was helpful and welcoming to every guest.
Next, (after a fun trip up and down the Strip to take photos), we transitioned into a “classy-Vegas-themed” reception. No, no dice or poker chips…just tiffany blue, purple and crystal themed decor, a monogram that incorporated Lauren and Adam’s names with the suit of cards, and arrangements that played with overflowing white feathers, grounded by white hydrangeas and dangling crystals in tall vases. Add a photo booth, lots of personal elements and three different buffets and you’ve got a lovely Vegas wedding!
But perhaps my favorite element was their cake – a tall five-tiered classic design coupled with their color scheme of tiffany blue and purple in an ombre design drew everyone’s eyes to the far end of the reception room. Best of all, having met and begun dating while working at Electronic Arts, Lauren and Adam brought in their personalities to have a custom cake topper designed as their XBox Avatars. Truly them and truly unique!
It was such an honor to be a part of this wedding and I can’t wait to return to the Mandalay Bay! Congrats to Lauren and Adam!
